How do I join Big Sky Country MLS?
Describe the item or answer the question so tThe Big Sky Country Multiple Listing Service (BSCMLS) is separately incorporated, but wholly-owned by the Southwest Montana Realtors®. Mere possession of a salesperson, broker, or appraiser license is not sufficient to qualify for MLS participation. To be eligible for membership, applicants must be members of (1) a local REALTOR® association (such as the Southwest Montana Realtors®), (2) a state REALTOR® association, AND (3) the National Association of REALTORS®. This union of organizations is known as the "Three-way Agreement”. Any REALTOR® or Appraiser that participates in this agreement shall be eligible to apply for membership with the MLS. How do I become a REALTOR®, Broker, or Appraiser?
The Montana Board of Realty Regulation is responsible for the licensing and regulation of real estate salespeople, brokers, and appraisers.

If I just passed the real estate exam, can I join SMR and/or the MLS?
You may join Southwest Montana REALTORS® (SMR) if you are affiliated with a broker and can provide documentation confirming that affiliation. This documentation must also have been submitted to the Board of Realty Regulation (BRR), or the BRR website must show your active real estate license and broker affiliation.
How do I get a loc box or lockbox key?

How do I get real estate forms?
The Montana Association of REALTORS® provides your real estate forms as a membership benefit. Southwest Montana Realtors® nor the Big Sky Country MLS has anything to do with forms-related services. You can log into their website here.
How do I get involved with a committee?
Serving on a committee is a great way to connect with fellow members, share your ideas, and help shape Southwest Montana REALTORS® (SMR). Volunteer applications open each year from October 1–31, with committee service beginning in January. Short-term task force opportunities may also be available throughout the year.
